On the morning of October 31, GAC Aion officially unveiled the first images of its highly anticipated range-extended vehicle — the AION i60. In its promotional release, the brand confidently described it as “possibly the most beautiful A-Class SUV on this planet.” The i60 is set to begin pre-sales on November 3, marking a bold new step for Aion’s electrified lineup.
According to information filed with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the AION i60 measures 4685 x 1854/1876 x 1660mm, with a 2775mm wheelbase. Its front fascia features a sleek, full-width light bar, giving it a modern and refined aesthetic that aligns closely with current mainstream family SUV designs.
Under the hood, the range-extended version is powered by Guangzhou Qisheng Power’s 74kW range extender (model 4A15K3), while the pure electric version comes equipped with Ruipai Power’s 165kW or 150kW electric motor — a setup similar to the newly launched AION V “Tyrannosaurus” SUV.
Buyers can also look forward to an array of customization options, including LiDAR sensors, a panoramic sunroof, semi-hidden door handles, and a black floating roof, giving the AION i60 a balance of futuristic appeal and everyday practicality.
