Other series experienced similar declines: Labubu “Sit Party” plush vinyl figures, originally 99 RMB, now as low as 82 RMB. Listings on second-hand platforms increased, but selling prices fell. At Beijing’s Wukesong Huaxi Pop Mart store, items could be purchased directly without reservation, indicating cooling demand.
Resellers are backing off: Shanghai buyer Li Huan said, “I’ve already lost a lot; the stock I bought hasn’t sold yet, and prices have dropped so much, I dare not buy more.”
Conclusion: The Labubu hype is fading, prices are stabilizing, and resellers are gradually exiting.
