OpenAI’s Altman Shows Off iPhone Air as Main Phone

On January 29, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman showcased his main phone during the company’s annual Q&A—an Apple iPhone Air with a MagSafe wallet.
Earlier, in September 2025, Altman tweeted: “Haven’t wanted to upgrade to a new iPhone like this in a while! Looks really cool.” He later confirmed he was referring to the iPhone Air.
Released in September 2025, the iPhone Air is Apple’s thinnest phone ever at just 5.6 mm and 165 grams, powered by the A19 chip.
