October 16 — At the 2025 World Intelligent Connected Vehicle Conference, Yang Qing, Chairman and Party Secretary of Dongfeng Motor Corporation, stated that embodied intelligent agents will become the main form of future automobiles, redefining what cars can do and how they interact with humans and society.
Yang highlighted three key characteristics of the next-generation intelligent vehicle:
1. Autonomous Perception. Cars will evolve from passive executors to proactive decision-makers. By perceiving and interpreting their surroundings, vehicles will be able to learn, adapt, and evolve continuously.
2. Emotional Intelligence. Powered by large-scale AI models and multimodal interaction technologies, smart cockpits will enable seamless, intuitive communication between humans and machines. Cars will no longer just “respond” — they will empathize, making driving experiences warmer and more human-centric.
3. Deep Integration. The convergence of humans, vehicles, road networks, and the cloud will turn cars into intelligent nodes that combine energy storage, mobility, sensing, and decision-making — forming a key part of the broader digital ecosystem of future society.
Yang concluded by emphasizing that Dongfeng Motor will accelerate its intelligent transformation, driving the evolution of the automobile from a means of transport to a “smart companion” in the era of embodied intelligence.
