Bluetooth SIG Announces the Formation of China Interest Group, with Huawei, Xiaomi, OPPO, and HONOR Among the Participants
The Bluetooth Special Interest Group (Bluetooth SIG) officially announced the establishment of its China Interest Group on October 24. Open to all Promoter and Associate member companies, this new initiative aims to create a collaborative platform dedicated to education, innovation, and market development. Its mission is to ensure that China’s unique market needs and growth opportunities are well-represented and actively supported within the global Bluetooth ecosystem.
The China Interest Group will serve as a hub for cooperation among member companies, focusing on several key objectives. These include promoting the widespread adoption of Bluetooth technology across diverse industries in China, sharing the latest technological advancements with local developers, aligning global technical evolution with domestic market demands, and fostering a vibrant community of Bluetooth innovators, developers, and manufacturers.
At its inaugural meeting, representatives from leading tech companies gathered to align on strategic priorities and collaborative directions for advancing Bluetooth innovation in China. Discussions centered on key market insights and actionable plans to strengthen China’s role in the global Bluetooth ecosystem.
According to the announcement, the first meeting drew participation from a wide range of industry players, including major smartphone platforms and chip manufacturers. Attending companies included Berrcom, Qualcomm, Huawei, Goodix Technology, Actions Technology, Lenovo, Nordic Semiconductor, OPPO, HONOR, Telink Semiconductor, Xiaomi, Silicon Labs, Infineon, and UNISOC.
