(Melaka, Dec 31) Chinese actress Datuk Fan Bingbing made an appearance in Melaka on the last day of 2025, drawing attention as the state’s “most beautiful ambassador.” Sources said she is already in Melaka and attended an event at around 4 p.m. at Watsons (Lemon Eye), where she promoted her own facial mask products. The appearance drew a large crowd of fans, and Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf was also present.
Later tonight, the Melaka state government is set to hold a major New Year’s Eve countdown at the “Encore Melaka” theatre, alongside the launch ceremony for Visit Melaka Year 2026. Fan is widely expected to attend and join the celebrations.
Earlier, Mother Earth (Di Mu) director Chong Keat Aun shared on social media that co-producer Tan Sri Vincent Tan hosted the film’s team for a celebratory dinner at his home yesterday. He added that Fan was also there and, more than a month after the 62nd Golden Horse Awards concluded, finally received her Best Actress trophy in person—sharing the joy of holding the award.
