(Beijing, Jan 23) Chinese actress Zhao Lusi has been gradually resuming her entertainment activities after a public dispute with her former agency, Galaxy Cool Entertainment. Recently, she drew attention after being spotted running a stall at a night market in Hainan, where she appeared makeup-free and interacted warmly with the public.
Witnesses said Zhao Lusi showed up on the evening of the 20th at the Bo Hou Village night market in Sanya, Hainan. Wearing an apron and gloves, she was seen preparing danhonggao (a Chengdu-style snack) using simple cooking equipment. Some netizens noted the absence of visible filming crews and suggested it looked more like a personal, informal experience rather than a staged event.
After being recognized, she reportedly took photos with people and even handed out candied hawthorns, leaving some passersby calling the encounter “lucky.”
The night-market appearance also echoed something she had said earlier. During her contract controversy last year, Zhao mentioned in a livestream that if she could not continue as an entertainer in the future, she might consider making a living by running a stall. She has also previously been involved in a dessert shop business, but later withdrew amid reported disagreements with a partner.
