Two Policy Blueprints to Drive Growth
Lee Zu Guo said that as the Year of the Horse approaches, the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) encourages manufacturers and Oriental Finance readers to move forward steadily with resilience, discipline, and confidence.
He noted that the coming year will be a crucial implementation phase for Malaysia’s industrial agenda under the New Industrial Master Plan (NIMP) and the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP). In this period, execution capability, productivity, and competitiveness will matter more than ever. While global uncertainty and cost pressures remain, Malaysia’s manufacturing sector has repeatedly demonstrated its ability to adapt, innovate, and upgrade.
Lee added that FMM will continue to serve as a key voice and collaborative partner for industry, advocating for a more predictable and competitive business environment, while supporting companies in technology adoption, ESG integration, market expansion, and talent development.
“Through closer industry-government collaboration and a continued focus on productivity-driven growth, we are confident manufacturers can strengthen their foundations in the new year and remain globally competitive,” he said.
