According to a report by "Russia Today" (RT) on May 11, Russian President Vladimir Putin was seen with tears in his eyes while watching a new World War II-themed film titled About the War, as shown in footage captured by Russian media.
On May 9, a grand celebration commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Soviet Union’s victory in the Great Patriotic War was held in Moscow’s Red Square. In his speech, Putin stated: “The Soviet Union defended the peace and freedom of all humanity at the cost of tens of millions of lives. We will forever remember the moment of victory, carry forward our forefathers’ legacy, remain united, and always uphold this sacred glory.”
