On July 4, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported in his nightly address that Russia had launched a massive aerial assault, deploying over 500 attack drones and multiple missiles.

While Ukrainian air defenses performed resiliently, some drones and missiles penetrated the defense lines, causing damage.

Zelensky highlighted that Ukrainian forces achieved significant success in intercepting Russian kamikaze drones, shooting down dozens. In response, Ukraine will ramp up production of interceptor UAVs and prioritize advanced training for drone operators as part of its combat strategy.

There has been no official response from the Russian side.
