On October 30, BYD (002594.SZ) released its Q3 2025 financial results. The company posted revenue of ¥194.99 billion, down 3.05% year-on-year, and a net profit of ¥7.82 billion, marking a 32.6% decline. For the first three quarters, revenue reached ¥566.27 billion, up 12.75%, while net profit was ¥23.33 billion, down 7.55%.

BYD attributed the decline to intensified market competition and rising cost pressures, along with a 31.3% year-on-year increase in R&D spending. Exchange rate fluctuations also affected overall results.

In terms of sales, BYD sold 3.26 million vehicles in the first three quarters, an 18.6% increase, maintaining its position as China’s top-selling automaker.
Overseas, BYD exported 701,600 vehicles, up 107% year-on-year — the fastest growth among Chinese car exporters — moving closer to the export crown.
