IKEA (China) Investment Co., Ltd. is recalling 170 IKEA FLISAT children’s tables produced between January 1 and January 7, 2024, from November 13, 2025, to February 12, 2026.
Reason for recall: Mechanical performance – the horizontal static load test does not meet GB 28007-2011 “General Technical Conditions for Children’s Furniture” standards. Cracks may appear between the table legs and tabletop, causing the tabletop to lose support and increasing the risk of injury. IKEA will provide a full refund or replacement, and consumers should stop using the product immediately.
GB 28007-2011 is a mandatory national standard in China for children’s furniture, covering structural safety, mechanical performance, and limits on harmful substances. Mechanical performance tests are crucial to ensure the furniture is safe for everyday use.
IKEA was founded in Sweden in 1943 and entered mainland China in 1998. By the end of fiscal year 2024, IKEA operates 39 stores in mainland China.
