(Beijing, 13th) Award-winning actress Kara Hui, 65, is widely respected for both her acting skills and professionalism. While attending the 2025 Powerhouse Film Gala in China on the 10th, she was asked about one of the most unforgettable moments in her career—and she recalled a particularly demanding stunt scene from earlier years.
Hui shared that a film once required her to perform a high-rise jump with only minimal wire support, a stunt so daunting that even her double hesitated to do it. With night falling and the shoot running out of time, she ultimately decided to do it herself. She admitted she was nervous at first—approaching the edge and pulling back repeatedly—until she asked the action director to give her a firm push so the shot could be completed.
