(Kuala Lumpur, 23rd) The ringgit strengthened again against the US dollar this morning, rising intraday to as high as 4.0647—marking a fresh 4-year-and-9-month high.
The currency gained as much as 0.33% to 4.0647 versus the greenback, its strongest level since March 4, 2021. As of 11:24 a.m., the ringgit was at 4.0676, up 0.26%.
Meanwhile, the ringgit also advanced against the Singapore dollar, climbing as much as 0.21% to an intraday high of 3.1588. By 11:24 a.m., it stood at 3.1613, up 0.14%.
