Oscar-winning actress Brigitte Lin, now 71, has stayed away from the spotlight for many years. In recent years, however, she has become more connected with the public through social media, occasionally sharing glimpses of her daily life. She recently made a rare public appearance at a publisher’s 50th anniversary banquet, instantly drawing attention and prompting many guests to ask for photos.
Hong Kong radio host and writer Chan Wan-hoi posted a 10-person group photo with Lin on February 1. In the photo, some guests are seated while others stand. Lin, with her hair tied up, looks radiant and healthy. Sitting at the center in a red outfit, she naturally became the focal point. Chan also revealed that taking photos with Lin came with strict rules.
According to him, no one was allowed to take a solo photo with her—only group photos were permitted. Guests were also not allowed to use their own phones or cameras. Instead, Lin’s assistant took the photo, sent it back to the publisher, and the publisher then forwarded it to the guests. Chan said that although it took several days and a bit of back-and-forth to finally receive the photo, everyone was still delighted, adding that Lin looked “even more beautiful in person.”
The post sparked envy and admiration online, with many praising her timeless beauty and good condition, while others asked whether she is just as stunning in real life.
