Recently, realme officially unveiled the latest addition to its Neo lineup—the realme Neo8. Priced at RMB 2,399 for the first sale, the subsidized final price drops to RMB 2,039.15. Positioned firmly in the highly competitive RMB 2,000 performance-flagship segment, the Neo8 represents one of the most comprehensive upgrades the Neo series has ever seen.
This time, realme goes far beyond a simple performance refresh. The Neo8 not only introduces a new Snapdragon chipset and a significantly larger battery, but also delivers a major leap in display quality and adds a periscope telephoto lens—transforming the Neo line from a performance-first device into a genuinely all-round flagship with exceptional value.
Starting with performance, the realme Neo8 is powered by Qualcomm’s latest fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. For battery life, realme equips the Neo8 with a massive 8,000mAh battery—1,000mAh larger than the GT8 standard edition. Under typical daily usage, and without constantly pushing maximum performance modes, the phone can easily last up to two days on a single charge.
Charging capabilities are equally impressive. The Neo8 supports 80W fast charging and a full fast-charging protocol stack, including UFCS, PPS, PD, and QC, along with bypass charging. Using realme’s own charger, the 8,000mAh battery reaches full charge in 75 minutes. When paired with the AI Power Brick Ultra, charging peaks at 51W and completes a 0–100% charge in 77 minutes.
