Nubia Z80 Ultra Officially Set to Launch on October 22: “Power in Every Shot, Mastery in Every Move”
IT Home reported on October 11 that Nubia has officially announced the launch date of its highly anticipated Z80 Ultra, which will debut on October 22 at 2:00 PM. The new flagship comes with an evocative slogan — “Power to Shoot and to Perform, a Dual Masterpiece Beyond Compare.”
Alongside the announcement, Nubia released a series of striking official images revealing three elegant color options: Phantom Black, Radiant White, and Starry Collector’s Edition — each reflecting the brand’s signature blend of performance and artistry.
ZTE’s Vice President and General Manager of Nubia Flagship Products, Zhang Lei, previously shared in September that the term “super-capable flagship” is not just a marketing label but a tangible experience users will feel from the moment they hold the device. According to Zhang, the Z80 Ultra delivers a top-tier imaging experience “from hardware to AI.” It boasts a custom large sensor with a 35mm focal length, optimized for challenging lighting conditions like backlight, low light, and night scenes — ensuring vivid detail, cinematic atmosphere, and uncompromised dynamic range. He also teased that the phone’s AI imaging capabilities will offer “surprising breakthroughs.”
Earlier leaks suggest that the Nubia Z80 Ultra (model number NX741J) has already completed registration filings. The device is expected to feature 90W fast charging, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Edition processor, a 144Hz flat display, and next-generation under-display camera technology. The triple-camera setup includes a 35mm main sensor with a large aperture, paired with a 1/1.55-inch ultra-wide lens, forming a three-main-camera imaging system.
For context, the previous Z70 Ultra retained Nubia’s signature “true full-screen” design with an under-display front camera, starting at 4,599 yuan. It was powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Edition chipset, coupled with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, as well as a 6,150mAh “South Sea” second-generation battery supporting 80W fast charging.
The upcoming Z80 Ultra is poised to elevate that legacy — combining powerful imaging, AI intelligence, and flagship-level craftsmanship into one extraordinary device.
